The Tone is built with lipophilic oils and amino acids that treat and tone the hair effectively with excellent results. The Tone contains micro-colour molecules dissolved by the water treatment and dynamic pressure of the ECOHEADS Showerhead. The size of the colour molecules, in conjunction with the ionisation of the water once treated by The Showerhead allows colour to evenly settle deep in the hair fibre, giving excellent tone-on-tone results.
- Target pH of 5.5.
- Application time is 3.5 minutes to 5 minutes, depending on length and texture of hair and water pressure.
- The average P.O.D service takes 10-15 mins to: Mineral Cleanse, Shield, Prep, Tone and Seal.
- Using a P.O.D service will save up to 75% of the time spent compared to a traditional semi-permanent toning and colour services.
- A P.O.D Tone will last up to 6 washes.
- P.O.D is perfect for colour refreshing and rejuvenation, toning in between highlight services, blending highlights/balayage, toning highlights and other blonde and colour transformations.

Apply after shampooing with your P.O.D Prep product. While rinsing at the basin, use The Showerhead to activate and deliver your Light Tone evenly through the hair. Leave for 3-5 minutes, then rinse. Follow with The Shield and The Sealer.

Natural hair colours contribute their existing colour to the final tonal result when artifical colour is added.

A closed cuticle, normal hair strand.
The Prep
The Prep, lifts the cuticle layer to prime the hair fibre for colour.
The Tone
The molecular weight of The Tone dye molecule is extremely small. The size of the dye molecule, combined with the ionic water delivery allows the dye to cover the surface of the hair strand as well as get into extremely small spaces of the lifted hair cuticle layer, and deep inside the hair fibre.
The Sealer
The Sealer hydrates, nourishes and adds shine, whilst protecting from UV fade. This treatment successfully closes the cuticle - sealing in the colour.
