The ECOHEADS Showerhead converts ordinary tap water into functional water — clean, ion-balanced, mineral-reduced, and high-pressure. Functional water doesn't just rinse better. It is the active foundation that every product in the System is engineered to work with.
THE PING is a battery-powered hands-free colour mixer that replaces manual bowl-and-brush mixing. It delivers measurable performance gains: reduces chemical waste by 20%, uses 30% less colour product, and provides 100% colour consistency every time, compared to mixing by hand. Compatible with H2O2 developers, persulphates, direct dyes, and acidic and alkaline formulations.
The Bang is a disposable face shield designed to protect clients from hair, colour, product, and heat during salon services. Made from bio recycled film with a medical-grade adhesive. 60 disposable sheets per box. Application: peel one sheet, apply along the client's forehead, ensure secure placement, then remove and dispose after use. 100% recyclable. Designed in Australia, made in Korea.
THE PING device, 4 mixing bowls (colour-differentiated), 2 mixing blades, a USB charging cable, 6 brushes, and 2 biodegradable paper trays.
The Cape is a premium eco-conscious salon cape made from recycled polyester and bio-based silicone. Designed for full-body protection with adjustable comfort: a soft silicone collar with built-in Velcro fastening for an inclusive one-size-fits-all fit. Length runs neck to ankle, just above the wrists. Soft, waterproof, chemical-resistant. The silicone is medical-grade and latex-free. Wipe clean or wash as required. Use during colour, cutting, or any salon service.
Most ECOHEADS products are made from eco-conscious materials such as bio-based plastics, recycled polyester, silicone, PET (polyethylene terephthalate), and coffee ground composites. These materials are selected for their durability, low environmental impact, and recyclability.
Yes, ECOHEADS products are made without the use of PVC or other toxic compounds. We use medical-grade adhesives, food-safe plastics, and other non-toxic materials wherever applicable.
The Cushion Brush is built from an eco-composite of recycled coffee grounds and bioplastic. Hybrid bristles: natural boar (oil distribution and shine) plus nylon (control and shaping). High-volume air cushion adapts to scalp topography for comfort and stimulation. Designed for dry hair styling, blow-drying, and shaping. Heat resistance: body and cushion up to 80°C, nylon bristles up to 180°C, boar bristles up to 140°C. Designed in Australia, made in Korea.
No. The silicone used in ECOHEADS products, like the E-Cape, is medical-grade and latex-free, making it safe for clients with allergies.
Multi-stage filtration with several active components. Magnetite softens water and reduces calcium and magnesium hardness up to 40%. Red Clay Ceramic emits negative ions, reduces frizz and static. Sericite, mica-derived, smooths the cuticle and adds shine. Tourmaline influences water structure and surface tension. Dual Neodymium Magnets realign mineral ions and prevent limescale. Million Guard, a glass-based antibacterial agent, releases silver ions to reduce microbial load. THE PLATE has 394 sub-micron openings that recreate the Lenard effect.
The Showerhead screws onto most standard salon hose fittings — no plumber required. Cleaning is non-negotiable: regular cleaning prevents mineral buildup that can restrict pressure, disrupt pod activation, or compromise the internal filtration. A quick rinse after each service plus a deep clean monthly is the standard. If you ever feel unusual pressure during a P.O.D pod service, turn the tap off immediately, clean the plate and Adaptor, dispose of the pod, and restart.
After mixing, wash the BODY and BLADE under flowing water — a tint brush helps for faster cleaning. Wash the BOWL under flowing water; pull out the blade if needed. Use a brush or spatula to wipe excess colour off the lid. Wipe the top of THE PING with a damp towel. The products should NOT be immersed in water — never submerge the motor housing or the USB port. Always switch off the power source and cover the charging port before cleaning.

Yes, the Adaptor is required. The P.O.D System will not function correctly inside a standard ECOHEADS Showerhead without the Adaptor. Pods cannot dissolve properly without it. If you're starting with a Showerhead-only setup and plan to add pods later, you'll need the Adaptor at that point.
Yes, but availability varies by region. Please check the site for distributors in your area or contact support for guidance.
P.O.D. stands for “Professional On-Demand” — a nod to the system’s ability to deliver custom treatments instantly.
Yes, it’s an innovation developed under the ECOHEADS brand to extend in-salon care through a patented system.
P.O.D defines a new category for the professional hairdressing industry. For the first time since 1904, basic basin and colour functionality has been reimagined and a new world of service and creativity has been unlocked. Cleansers & micro colour delivered and activated by clean water is now possible. Infused into the hair through the ECOHEADS Showerhead, P.O.D balances business, sustainability and wellness with unlimited creativity.
Products are designed in Australia and manufactured in Korea, Italy, and China depending on the product. The Showerhead, the Adaptor, and most hardware are made in Korea. P.O.D pod chemistry is formulated in Italy. All sourcing is done with eco-conscious materials and ethical supply-chain standards.
The P.O.D System has 4 components – The Shield, The Prep, The Tone and The Sealer. Each has a different function, unique formulation and is sustainable by design. The preparation of The Prep & The Tone is based on a unique technology which allows the active ingredients to blend at the perfect temperature to obtain the final solid pod.
Functional water is water that has been re-engineered to be a performance variable, not a passive carrier. The Showerhead reduces minerals and metals, increases pressure, balances ions, and prepares water to support every chemical and physical service that follows. Untreated tap water disrupts colour uptake, tone consistency, and treatment performance — functional water removes those barriers.
Traditional treatments rely on manual application. P.O.D. infuses treatments through water flow, reducing product waste and enhancing consistency.
Yes, many leading colourists and educators endorse P.O.D. for its innovation, precision, and performance.
Seven products plus the Adaptor: P.O.D Mineral Cleansing Spray (MCS) for pre-service detox on dry hair; P.O.D Shield for acid reset, no-rinse; P.O.D Prep family — The Prep, Super Lift & Cleanse Prep, Violet Prep; P.O.D Tone for water-activated tone-on-tone colour; P.O.D Sealer for finishing seal and shine. Plus THE P.O.D ADAPTOR to run any pod through the Showerhead.
Tone lasts up to 6 washes, depending on hair condition and porosity. Processing time is 3.5–5 minutes (longer hair / thicker hair sits at the upper end). It fades evenly and translucently — no permanent residue or buildup. The result is a direct reflection of existing level + chosen shade — always select tone based on the lightest level present in the hair.

The Adaptor is a patented attachment that fits between the Showerhead body and the PLATE. Its uniquely designed basket allows water to spin and dissolve P.O.D pods efficiently during service. It is the mechanical bridge between water engineering and pod chemistry.
Step 1: P.O.D Mineral Cleansing Spray on dry hair (6–10 sprays per section across 4 sections, wait 5 minutes, then rinse thoroughly — this is the rinse-out variant since MCS is the detox core).
Step 2: Detox shampoo.
Step 3: P.O.D Shield (no rinse, instant).
Step 4: Super Lift & Cleanse Prep — 2 tablets via the Adaptor (~2 minutes).
Step 5: P.O.D Sealer (minimum 5 minutes).
Step 6: Rinse and towel dry. Best for hard-water clients, swimmers, post-lightening reset, or any client with significant mineral or product buildup.
Tone is a water-activated, tone-on-tone colour treatment. Each pod contains micro-colour molecules and conditioning agents (lipophilic oils, butters, amino acids) that are activated by the Showerhead's functional water and dissolved into the hair. It's developer-free, peroxide-free, ammonia-free, MEA-free, DEA-free, sulphate-free, and vegan. Roughly 94% effective ingredients, 6% water.

Run through this in order.
(1) Adaptor installed correctly — quarter-twist seal on both ends, never forced.
(2) Water temperature — 37–40°C.
(3) Buildup on the PLATE or Adaptor basket — disassemble and clean.
(4) Pod moisture damage — check for yellow spots (Prep, Super Lift) or blue spots (Violet Prep). Discard if present.
(5) Water pressure — check for buildup elsewhere in the Showerhead. Safety-critical: if pressure builds unusually during use, turn the tap off immediately, clean the plate and Adaptor thoroughly, dispose of the pod, and restart.
We are not looking to replace any other colour line, there are fantastic companies doing amazing things with colour. This is in addition and complimentary to any current colour, semi, demi or refresh tones on previously toned hair. The P.O.D System is friends with all brands and is the perfect partner to blend and implement alongside the things you already use in the salon.
Apply 2–4 pumps from root to ends after Tone or any finishing P.O.D service. Comb through evenly. Leave on for a minimum of 5 minutes. Rinse thoroughly, gently squeeze out excess water, towel dry.
Absolutely not. P.O.D is designed to colour your hair and provide outstanding shine, strength and manageability. It is pH balanced and boosted with lipophilic oils and amino acids to treat the hair while toning. In addition, P.O.D is free from damaging chemicals such as Ammonia, MEA, DEA, PPD, PDT and requires no developer. It truly is colour delivered and activated by clean water.
We have not specifically tested P.O.D products for use during pregnancy and other health conditions, however we anticipate no issues as it can be safely used on human hair and does not contain any of the chemicals recommended for pregnant women to avoid. We do, however, recommend doing a patch test in such cases to lower risk, if any.

We have not specifically tested P.O.D products for sensitive skin. However, we recommend checking the ingredients and doing a patch test before using on people with overly sensitive skin. Note the products are free from Ammonia, MEA, DEA, PPD, PDT and require no developer.
Like any hair colour product, we recommend avoiding moisture in the first 24hrs post your P.O.D treatment. P.O.D is designed to fade every time the hair is wet.
Absolutely, you can personalise your colours. All pod tones are intermixable as long as one uses the knowledge of colour charts and the colour wheel theory. We recommend if you’re mixing two different pods together, put gloves on and squeeze the 2 shades together before using, or cut 2 shades in half to create 1 pod.
Yes, it’s one of the safest colours available, but it’s important to consider hair porosity to prevent excessive tone absorption. This is why The Shield is the first step to balance porosity, especially before working on compromised or chemically treated hair. The P.O.D system also treats the hair during the colouring process.
You can, P.O.D contains no ammonia or MEA therefore you will not create any damage to chemically treated hair. P.O.D is rich in lipophilic oils and amino acids that nurture and protect damaged hair.
We have 6 vivids in our range, you can intermix vivids with other shades to create different intensities or vibrancy.

Yes, there are different pods for pre-colour, colour, and post-colour treatments, designed to work in sequence.
Unopened pods last 12–18 months. Always check packaging for expiry dates.
Refills are available via distributor partners. Some salons arrange auto-replenishment directly through suppliers.
Yes. Every product across the ECOHEADS and P.O.D ranges is vegan and cruelty-free. None of our products are tested on animals. Our suppliers and R&D partners share this commitment.
No ammonia. No peroxide. No PPD. No PDT. No MEA. No DEA. No sulphates. No developer. Vegan. This makes it suitable for chemically treated, sensitised, and damaged hair without adding oxidative stress.
Yes, the formulas are developed for professional use and are generally safe, but always patch-test sensitive clients.
They contain low-level, salon-safe fragrance blends. Fragrance-free options may be available via select distributors.

Sealer is the System's finishing step. It uses dual-phase microcapsule technology: hydrophilic capsules deliver internal repair (reinforce keratin bonds, hydrate weakened zones), hydrophobic capsules surface-seal the cuticle (slip, anti-pollution, anti-humidity, shine). Reduces breakage by up to 60%. Target pH 4. Photoluminescent shine via Luminescine technology from Verbascum thapsus (mullein flower), without silicones.

Yes, it’s suitable on all hair types (best colour results over a level 8 with current shades and P.O.D will not colour grey hair) and is formulated to work on every hair texture due to its unique way of treating and delivering product onto the hair.
P.O.D is a global toning delivery system, so where there are specific application of toners or different formulas that one would apply in a toning service – there are tips and tricks for combining, for instance – a semi-permanent root stretch, and then a P.O.D service to follow – this is covered and demonstrated in our Education hub – www.podbyecoheads.com/education-hub
Step 1: P.O.D MCS pre-service on dry hair (5 minutes, no rinse).
Step 2: Apply your colour.
Step 3: Shampoo.
Step 4: P.O.D Shield (no rinse).
Step 5: P.O.D Prep of choice — 2–3 minutes (The Prep for general; Super Lift for detox; Violet Prep for blondes Level 9+).
Step 6: Optional demi or tone on ends.
Step 7: P.O.D Sealer (5 minutes).
Step 8: Rinse and towel dry.
Yes absolutely. P.O.D is great for colour correction, both filling and neutralising.
P.O.D works with a micro colour system that does not hold to the skin or any clothing. In addition, the dyes are water soluble and no developer is used meaning minimal risk, hence can be washed away with one wash from skin, further minimising the risk of colour staining.
P.O.D can layer one colour to remove one or to enhance existing colour. When using traditional colours for root application, P.O.D can be layered on top to give the middle and ends a multi-colour effect.
The Prep has a mild peppermint fragrance andThe Sealer also has a very mild fragrance. P.O.D is intentionally designed with next to no fragrance, ensuring the formulations are mild and gentle.

Absolutely, yes. P.O.D is designed with micro dyes which ensures the colours settle deep and even, hence less prone to fading during ironing or curling unlike regular semis and colours that sit on the outside of the cuticle and are much more sensitive to heat application.
We recommend using The Shield to help colour uptake for hair extensions but synthetic hair is chemically treated which restricts P.O.D application.
P.O.D is designed to make hair colour look seamless and it’s very easy to apply.
We have strong product quality and safety processes to minimise batch variations in manufacturing. Every batch produced is tested for performance and safety with respect to a previously approved product. Evaluation is done following the best practices existing in the hair care industry.

The Adaptor installs in 11 steps, no tools required. In short: remove the Showerhead base, separate components and dry, place the plate inside the Adaptor base, secure the basket with the O-ring, fit the T-ring on top, attach the Adaptor base with a quarter twist, screw the completed Adaptor onto the Showerhead with another quarter twist. Never force — quarter twists only. Full step-by-step is in the Tech Guide.
Yes, the system and pods are heat-safe up to salon-standard temperatures.
